Road Updates
The year is half over!
July 1, 2008 - It is hard to believe that the year is half over already! It is even harder to believe that we have completed over 400 appearance days so far! Here’s an update on what’s coming up:
Dan Runte and Summit Racing BIGFOOT
#16: Dan will be in Henderson, NC at Pete Smith Tire performing car crushes July 4th and 5th. He will then be heading to the annual Special Events 4-Wheel Jamboree in Bloomsburg, PA for some hard-core outdoor racing. We have a new engine in Dan’s truck, and it puts out more horsepower than any engine we have ever
had!

Rick Long and Firestone BIGFOOT
#15: Rick will be in Mission, TX this weekend at Spikes Ford, where he will also be doing car crushes on July 4th and 5th. What a way to celebrate our freedom!
Keith Sturgeon and BIGFOOT
#14: Keith will be displaying in Logan, UT at the Cache Valley Cruise on July 4th, 5th and 6th. He will then go to Columbus, NE
for more displays, this time at Bill’s Tire Outlet on July 11th and 12th.
Jerry Dalton and Star BIGFOOT
#11: Jerry has had the last couple of weekends off as we completely rebuilt the rear end of his truck! Jerry will be heading to the
east coast to start a month worth of display/car crushes for University Wholesalers. Be sure to check our
schedule for locations.
Rodney Tweedy and Flame BIGFOOT
#10: Rodney has been touring in Canada and New York for the past 5 weeks and is getting a well deserved week off at home. Scott Winger will be filling in for Rodney for the next 2-weekends. You can see
BIGFOOT#10 in Middletown NY at Tire Discount Center July 3rd thru 5th and at Tire Discount Center in Monticello, NY on July 10th thru 12th.
Ron Bachmann and American Flag BIGFOOT
#12: As usual Ron has been too many places to list. Ron is scheduled to be in Cabool, MO on July 4th and 5th at Cabool Tire.
Jim Kramer and Firestone BIGFOOT
#8: Jim’s been out of the office traveling with BIGFOOT #8 to give some guys a well deserved break. You can see Jim in Dunkirk, NY on July 5th thru 8th at Valley Tire.

2008 Road Update #1

February 19, 2008 - 2008 has been a very busy year so far!
Not counting the upcoming weekend, BIGFOOT® has already logged 87 appearance days - not too bad for only being a month and a half into the year.
It looks like we already have 1 truck qualified to race in Pocatello, ID for the Checkered Flag Productions Winter Nationals: Rick Long in the Firestone BIGFOOT #15.
In addition, rookie driver Jerry Dalton in BIGFOOT #11 and Keith Sturgeon and BIGFOOT #14 will both have enough events to qualify before the finals.
Unfortunately, though, scheduling conflicts will prevent us from sending more than 2 trucks, and will keep last year’s champion, Dan Runte, from defending his record.
Dan will be cheering his teammates on, though, and will help any way he can!

#16: Dan has competed in events for Checkered Flag Productions, Amp Live Events and Monster Nationals.
He has also run for Daryl Starbird in Tulsa, OK just this last weekend. The BIGFOOT shop guys are busy working on getting the Summit Racing BIGFOOT #16 ready for the start of the MLMT series!

Rick Long and Firestone BIGFOOT
#15: Rick has run mainly for Checkered Flag Productions, and is currently in 4th place.
We are getting ready to put a new 2-speed Abruzzi racing transmission into BIGFOOT #15.
After running the Abruzzi transmission in BIGFOOT #16 for the past 8 months with no problems, we’re very excited about seeing how it works for Rick!
Keith Sturgeon and BIGFOOT
#14: Keith has also been competing for Checkered Flag Productions this year.
He’s also running for Amp Live Events, and has really come a long way in the past year.
Keith ran BIGFOOT #14 with its newly-installed Abruzzi 2-speed racing transmission in Tulsa last weekend and had no problems!

Rodney Tweedy and BIGFOOT
#10: Rodney has run mainly for Amp Live Events, although he has done a few Checkered Flag Productions shows.
And, although Rodney drove for Schafer Motorsports for many years before joining Team BIGFOOT, on February 1st thru 3rd, in Amarillo, TX, he won his very first
trophy! Great job Rodney.
Jerry Dalton and BIGFOOT
#11: Jerry is in his first year of racing Monster Trucks. He ran our Firestone display program last year, and did an excellent job, and has since moved up to a race truck.
He is doing an outstanding job for his few weekends of racing. He has won 5 out of his first 7 races and has been in the finals for every race he’s been
in! Not a bad way to start. Good Job!
Ron Bachmann and Summit Racing BIGFOOT
#12: Ron started off slow this year after pulling a muscle in his back working in the shop.
Jim Kramer covered his first few displays, but it looks like he’s doing much better.
He is starting off his first weekend back in Detroit at the Detroit Autorama show March 7th thru 9th.
Ron will be displaying for Summit Racing Equipment. If you’re in the area, please stop by and say
“Hi”!
Scott Winger and Firestone BIGFOOT
#8: Scott has started off with his first run of Firestone dealer displays.
He is currently touring Texas, and we don’t expect to see him again until Thanksgiving … well, maybe Easter!
