October 4, 2006 - It’s been awhile since my last update, but what a great weekend we just had. The official “Crush Out Breast Cancer” BIGFOOT debuted in Red Bluff, CA on September 29th, and the truck went over awesome! Dave Harkey did a good job behind the wheel. It took him 3 shows, but he brought the “pink” truck to the winner’s circle on Sunday, which was “Crush Out Breast Cancer” day. Madusa also made her driving debut in the Madusa BIGFOOT. She did a great job, particularly considering it was her first time competing in a BIGFOOT truck! Both Dave and Madusa performed outstanding freestyles all three days. As Madusa’s crew chief in Red Bluff, Keith Sturgeon, regular driver of BIGFOOT #10, made sure that Madusa’s debut was a successful one. Click on image for large version:I would like to personally thank Joe Froome and the J & K Motorsports family for having us there and putting on such a great show, and Dave, Keith, and Madusa for helping make the weekend so successful. I would also like to thank Joe and John Duever of Vinyl Images, for donating the “Crush Out Breast Cancer” vinyl wrap for the “pink” BIGFOOT truck. The wraps on both trucks looked great! Click on image for large version:
P.S. You look great in pink Dave!! …..And Dan & another BIGFOOT first!!Dan Runte, driving the Summit Racing BIGFOOT #15, performed another “first” in Team BIGFOOT monster truck history this last weekend. During a show in Wildwood, NJ on Saturday, September 30th, Dan was the first BIGFOOT driver to ever stop a monster truck straight up and down during a wheelie! Other trucks have done this, but never have they been able to drive away under their own power. On top of that, not only did he do it Saturday, but he also accomplished it again on Sunday. Dan said, “I thought it could be done so I went for it.” The feat did come at a small cost, as he tore the tailgate and bedsides off the truck. However, to see it done was well worth the costs. Way to go Dan! It always amazes me what Dan can do in a BIGFOOT truck. See a video of this awesome feat in our Video Gallery.

In addition, I want to thank all the crew from J & K Motorsports, Joe, John, and Destiny from Vinyl Images, Dave, Keith, and Madusa, and all the fans for helping to support the cause. Over $8,500 was raised, even before the raffle for Dave’s “pink” crew shirt! Whether we’ve lost someone, survived with someone, or just spent time concerned about whether a lump was cancerous, we’ve all been affected by breast cancer. I am proud and honored that BIGFOOT was asked to be part of this event, and hope it is just the first of many more to come around the country! Indy Jamboree 2006
27 September 2006 - Although the weather did not cooperate until Sunday, the weekend in Indianapolis, IN for the 4 Wheel Jamboree was great fun! BIGFOOT employees gave out thousands of pictures and stickers featuring some of the characters from the new cartoon “BIGFOOT® Presents Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks,” that now runs daily on the Discovery Kids channel and will debut on TLC on October 2, 2006. Click on image for large version:Bob Chandler, Jim Kramer, Dan Runte, and Madusa were on hand giving out autographs and talking to fans. In addition, BIGFOOT #1 and BIGFOOT #5 , the Little Tow go-cart and the cartoon "Photo Op" backdrop drew excited crowds all weekend! Fans could also watch some footage of the new cartoon and some live BIGFOOT action on the video screens at the BIGFOOT novelty trailer. The most common questions for the weekend: 1. Is Bob Chandler here? 2. Do you have any Madusa merchandise? 3. Do you have any shirts with BIGFOOT #1 on them? 4. How do they get up into that thing (the 10 Footer)? 5. Is Madusa driving? The weekend also marked the debut of the Madusa BIGFOOT body. Everyone who has seen it, loves it! What do you think? Click on image for large version:Because this weekend required so much extra time and effort, we would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to the following people for helping to make this event such a success: Dan Colvin and family from ESAB Welding; Jesse Hopkins and Leslie Folsom from The Whistler Group, Inc., Dan Runte, Mindy Harman, John Peterson, Randy Lenger, Jerry Dalton, Debra Miceli, Tiffany & Keith Sturgeon, Mark Schleipfer, Deb & Alan Hartsock, Penny Lopez, Bob, Dani, Drew, & Evan Trent, Jake Williams, Jim Kramer, Bob C. Little Tow, represented by a specially painted go-cart, appeared with his “Dad”, BIGFOOT #1, and helped giveaway over 1,700 stickers to all the kids that came by to visit.
Many of them also got their pictures taken “standing” on crushed cars with the cartoon characters in the background (see pictures below). Each of them left with a HUGE smile. We were very pleased with the results. Thank you, Mac Tools, for allowing us space in your exhibit!

Top Honors Once Again Go To Nigel Morris And BIGFOOT #17Team BIGFOOT Racing: 2006 European Monster Truck Racing Champions 22 August 2006 - Hop Farm, Kent: Piloting BIGFOOT #17 to a win in the finals on Sunday the 22nd of August at the Hop Farm in Kent has earned driver Nigel Morris and the entire BIGFOOT #17 team their second EMTRC (European Monster Truck Racing Championship) title.
A jubilant Nigel said, "I am just so pleased! The team works real hard, and we have been so close for the last two years, it feels very good to be the first team in Europe to ever win this title twice." Driving to Kent, Nigel knew he had a chance of wrapping up the title, but this is monster truck racing and anything can, and usually does, go wrong. The team did not have the best of weeks prior to the Hop Farm event, as they spent five days waiting for parts to rebuild the engine on sister truck Monstrous. When the parts arrived on Friday morning the team set to building the engine, finally arriving on site at 3:10 am on Saturday morning. As one of the best European Monster Truck Racing teams, LA Supertrux Ltd. is also one of the busiest. Competing in all rounds of the EMTRC as well as appearing at numerous Truck fest events and at dealer and sponsor events, keeps the team working day and night.
"I love racing best, but any chance I get to meet the BIGFOOT fans is great for me," said Nigel, "and winning a championship for the second time is just amazing! The whole team has worked extremely hard, paying particular attention to making the truck more reliable. Last year we were fast, but not reliable. This year we have been quick and scored points at every race."
"This was a great weekend finishing a great year for LA Supertrux Ltd and Team BIGFOOT Racing as we proved that we are once again the team to beat in European Monster Truck Racing". Dan then moved on to St. Charles, Illinois for an exhibition, followed by a Special Events show in Tomah, Wisconsin, where he went to the finals and lost in a very close race!
Picture taken by Katelyn WhiteDave Harkey - 30th Anniversary BIGFOOT#14 Dave has been on the west coast since you’ve last heard, appearing in everything from an MOD points race in Oregon to static displays at dealerships in Utah, Idaho and California to do an exhibition after a tractor pull in California. On Dave’s 2nd to last day of this 3-state run he had engine problems after the Friday night event, but worked all day Saturday changing engines and actually finished before introductions for the Saturday night event! Good job of getting back and making your show Dave! Rick Long - 30th Anniversary BIGFOOT#11 Rick has also been busy! First he spent 2½ weeks in Virginia, followed by visits to Maryland and Maine, doing car crushes at Firestone dealers. He then went on to Erie, Pennsylvania and Harrington, Delaware for some KSR Motorsports racing and exhibition freestyle competitions, where he won ALL of his races and did some pretty awesome freestyle runs. Before finally coming home, Rick stopped off in Colorado to win more races and freestyles competitions for APEX Motorsports. Another great run for Rick! Keith Sturgeon - 30th Anniversary BIGFOOT / Snake Bite #10 Before finally getting back to St. Louis, Keith stopped in Texas for a Ford dealer display. After only TWO days home, he headed out again to join Rick in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a Snake Bite body. Keith then went to Hillsboro, Missouri for an exhibition and crewed for Dan in Tomah, Wisconsin. Keith has been learning a lot about the trucks and keeps getting better at performing. Keep up the good work Keith! Rodney Tweedy - Firestone Destination BIGFOOT #8 You will just have to check our schedule to catch Rodney. He has been EVERYWHERE making Firestone dealers smile across the country. Great Job Rodney! Ron Bachmann - Firestone Destination / Summit Racing BIGFOOT #12 Ron’s schedule has been pretty much like Rodney’s. You never know where he’ll show up. He spent his last month in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and Illinois, and then, somehow, even snuck in 2 weeks worth of vacation. We hope he enjoyed his time off. Going to Reno, NV this week? EMTRC UpdateEuropean Monster Truck Racing Championship
21 June 2006 EMTRC Round One The new season started with a bang down in Carmarthen. All of the best trucks in Europe were there. Red Dragon with new steering swivels fitted in an attempt by Rob to keep his front wheels on. Lil' devil was out with an almost all new truck, with a rear engine for this year, but still with driver Ian sitting on the left so his fans can still see his wave during his freestyle jumps. Three days of Welsh rain prior to the event meant that the conditions were slick to say the least. Even during the introductions, some trucks had trouble making the turns, so we all knew qualifying would be fun! Each truck makes two qualifying runs, one in each lane with only the best time from either lane counting towards racing positions. Fastest time of the day went to Nigel Morris in BIGFOOT #17 with a time of 20.96 and Ian in the new Lil' Devil posted the slowest time of 24.07, just 3 seconds covering the whole field! All of the trucks had problems with early season glitches, but only Swamp thing and Red Dragon needed to retire before the final rounds of racing. The battle for top spot at round one came down to team mates Nigel in BIGFOOT #17 and Drew in Monstrous. Despite having a repeat of last years gearbox troubles Nigel got BIGFOOT in front and never looked back. Ian in Lil' Devil skillfully brought home the new revamped Lil' Devil in third. EMTRC Round Two With so much action during round one, you could be forgiven for thinking that round two would be dull by comparison. How wrong you would be! Tony in Swamp Thing was swamped (pun intended) with help from his Monster Mania racing comrades, pulling together to swap out the entire front differential assembly on his truck. This job took well into the night, so the midnight oil was well and truly burned! Rob in Red Dragon also need repairs, but being so close to home he was able to drive back to his workshop to effect the repairs needed to race in round two. Each truck makes two qualifying runs, one in each lane with only the best time from either lane counting towards racing positions. Fastest time of the day went to Rob in Red Dragon with a time of 21.02 just 7 tenths ahead of BIGFOOT #17 and Ian in the new Lil' Devil posted the slowest time of 23.71, now only 2 seconds covering the whole field! The racing was frenetic, seeming to be faster than usual, with all the drivers out to impress, and wanting to get points on the board for the start of the new season. Three races in and the first loss was BIGFOOT #17 who went out with gearbox trouble. Next to go was Ian in Lil' Devil who split a transfer case, ending his day. So the final was a scrap between the 2005 series champion and the runner up. But today was not the day for a battle as Tony rolled swampy gently over the cars to collect his points, only later admitting that he was missing a front shock! Drew in Monstrous came in third taking him to the lead of the EMTRC for the first time in his driving career. Well done Drew! EMTRC Round Three Constant rain in the week leading up to round three meant that racing conditions were far from ideal. But as usual the Monster Mania team presented the racing course in tip top condition. The Monster Mania fans stood stoically in the pouring rain as all the drivers struggled to control the 2000hp monster trucks in conditions that offered very little traction. It didn’t seem to effect the elapsed times though, only adding a couple of seconds to the expected duration of a qualifying run. Tony Dixon took the racing win in a thrilling final against BIGFOOT #17 which saw the pair neck and neck into the corner, and only over enthusiastic throttle from Nigel, causing a slide, prevented the pair crossing the line together. Great drive Tony! EMTRC Round Four Day two saw much better weather, but still with conditions greasy to say the least. BIGFOOT driver Nigel Morris seemed to cope with the conditions best, but Ian Batey in Lil' Devil is clearly getting his new truck set up how he wants it, shown most clearly by the 14 one hundredths of a second between BIGFOOT and Lil' Devil in their heat race. The final was a rematch from Saturday with Tony and Nigel pulling to the line. The result was totally different with Swamp thing breaking a throttle cable and having to shut down his engine for safety reasons. Ian and Lil' Devil capped a much better weekend with a fine third place beating Drew in Monstrous. EMTRC Round Five Feeling Hot Hot Hot! Summer sunshine failed to draw the huge crowds seen at last years Orsett racing rounds, England’s first match in the World Cup must have been a factor, but those who did make the trip to the popular Essex showground were treated to some of the best racing ever at Monster Mania events. With Ian Batey having the new Lil' Devil truck in tip top condition, it was a cruel blow when a bad landing in the first of his qualifying runs left Ian in severe pain from the aggravation of an old whip lash injury that hampered his progress all day. With BIGFOOT setting the fastest qualifying time with a seasons best 17.51 seconds, only Rob Williams in the re-bodied Red Dragon could get within 4 seconds the BIGFOOT truck with an 18.27. So the scene was set, all of the trucks running well, terrific conditions and a great course, that for Swamp Thing was almost too much traction in the corners, as Tony battled Swamp Thing’s desire to roll in the corner during a very tight race with Monstrous. Well-done Tony! It was an all L.A. Supertrux Ltd. finals with BIGFOOT and Monstrous racing for top honors. At the turn all seemed equal between the two trucks, but BIGFOOT bigger engine paid off in the race too the flag taking the win by a truck length. Red Dragon Beat out Swampy for third place. Ian in Lil' Devil was unable to make the solo run that would have granted him fifth place points due to the pain from his shoulder. EMTRC Round Six Still feeling Hot Hot Hot! The second day seemed even hotter than the first if that was possible.
Tony had worked all night including a drive back up to Daventry to get a new front sway bar to replace the one he broke on Saturday.
Rob and crew man Graham had also burned the midnight oil changing out a rear swivel on the Red Dragon which had developed a crack during racing. Ian Batey was unable to take part in events as during the parade lap it became clear that the pain from the whiplash was just too sever for him to safely continue. We all hope Ian heals soon. First race of the day was BIGFOOT vs. Red Dragon with Rob stamping his authority as current European Champion taking the win by a huge margin. It seemed like everyone was on their A game on Sunday with race times tumbling. Rob Williams even broke into the 16 second zone for the first time ever at a Monster Mania event while racing Swamp Thing! The finals saw Red Dragon and BIGFOOT pull to the line, great friends off the track but fierce rivals on it, these two were never going to take it easy! As the lights went green the air was filled with the sound of over three thousand horsepower being exploded into the Orsett turf! Once again at the turn there was little in it, but with Rob needing to make a course correction it was BIGFOOT that crossed the line first. Tony in Swamp Thing kept his cool after ending up pointing at the crowd off the second car jump, getting Swampy back on track and finding that Drew had made a total hash of the corner letting Tony in for the win and third place. Point Standing After Round Six:
Monster Mania storms into Europe! Estonian Monster truck fans will get their chance in 2006 to scream for their favorite European Monster Truck as Monster Mania rolls into Tallinn for the first ever Estonian Monster Truck show. This show is a prelude to the event becoming a European Monster Truck Racing Championship round in 2007. MTR Promotions director Ian Batey said, "This will be the farthest that any of our trucks have traveled to take part in a Monster Mania event, so it is important for us to see how the logistics work as a run up to the event gaining EMTRC status in 2007. There is allot of work to do, but with our Estonian partners we are sure the event will be a huge success". If hits on the brand new Monster Mania Estonia web site (follow the link from www.monstermania.co.uk) are any indicator of the level of fan interest then the Monster Mania truck would look to be a hit. Estonian representative Toomas Villo reported "more than 70,000 hits in the first month, which we think is very good". So if you're in the Baltic region and you want to see genuine Monster Mania action then log on book tickets and we will see you there... BIGFOOT Update20 June 2006 Dan Runte & the Summit Racing BIGFOOT #15: Dan continues his amazing year, winning 3 of 3 races this past weekend in Yakima, WA, and 3 of 4 races the weekend before in Lewiston, ID! This, especially when added to his 8 consecutive straight-line and 7 of 8 turning-course race wins in the “Monsters of Destruction” series, have helped to make 2006 one of his best years ever! Even though Dan missed 2 complete MOD series rounds (totaling 6 races), he has already made it into 3rd place! Dan has won over 75% of the races he has competed in this year! WOW!!

Eric hasn’t driven in quite awhile, but his performance in Davenport, IA did not show that. He won Friday night’s race and was looking for another win on Saturday when he took a hard hit on the rear of the truck and lost the ENTIRE back-end. After getting the truck back to the shop and working many long hours, Roy, Bryan and John sent Harkey back out. Dave then won both racing and freestyle competitions in Sedalia, MO on Saturday for Checkered Flag Productions.
