BIGFOOT #4, built in the summer of 1984, debuted at the New Orleans Superdome in 1985. #4 was BIGFOOT's first Stage II Monster truck, meaning that it started life as a purpose built monster truck (versus Stage 1 stock pickup truck frame) with a heavy duty straight rail frame. It was also thefirst monster truck to use planetary axles and the first to perform a wheel-standing sled pull. #4 was featured in a series of Ford Trucks TV commercials in 1985. Converted to a race truck in 1988, it finished second on the TNT Motor Sports racing circuit that same year, and was the 1990 champion of the Special Events Monster Truck Triple Crown Series.
#4 is remembered by many BIGFOOT fans for it's legendary toughness, with over 2 decades of service. In the late 90's, BIGFOOT #4's suspension was converted into a nitrogen shock/leaf spring hybrid, and run as a display truck until it was sold in February of 2007.
